The costs of a treehouse camp can vary greatly depending on the project and the country of implementation. Factors such as the size of the treehouse camp, the equipment already available, new purchases, rental costs and any personnel costs (if a project is not run purely by volunteers) play an important role. The contributions of the participants and other sources of income (sponsors, donations, fundraising, etc.) also differ among camps.

While planning a treehouse camp there should be a person appointed for the finances. This person is responsible to prepare a budget plan, keeps a cash book during the camp and compiles a detailed final account at the end of the camp.
